Cookie Policy

We don't use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device to remember information about your visit, preferences, or activity. They are commonly used for session management, personalization, analytics, and advertising.

2. Our Cookie Usage

SideDraft is a Chrome extension that runs entirely within your browser's local environment. We do not:

  • Set any cookies on your device through the Extension
  • Use any third-party cookies or tracking scripts
  • Participate in advertising networks or analytics programs
  • Use cookies for authentication, session management, or personalization
  • Share any data with third-party cookie providers

3. Local Storage vs. Cookies

While SideDraft does store data locally (your drafts, snippets, and settings), this is done using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API — not cookies. Local storage is separate from browser cookies and is not sent to servers with web requests. It is only accessible within the Extension itself.

4. Third-Party Cookies

When you use AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok, those services may set their own cookies as part of their normal operation. SideDraft does not interact with, read, or modify cookies set by these or any other third-party services.

For information about cookie practices on those platforms, please refer to their respective privacy and cookie policies.

5. Landing Page

Our landing website (where this page is hosted) also does not use analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies. We do not collect visitor data, track browsing behavior, or serve advertisements.

6. Managing Cookies

Since SideDraft does not use cookies, there is no need to manage cookie preferences within the Extension. You can manage your general browser cookie settings through Chrome's Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data.

7. Changes to This Policy

If our cookie practices ever change, we will update this policy and notify users through the Chrome Web Store listing or within the Extension. Currently, we have no plans to introduce any form of cookie-based tracking.
